Odwach (the Guardhouse)

The work of the royal architect Johann Christian Kammsetzer. An example of classical architecture from the late 18th C during the rule of Stanisław August Poniatowski. The attic is decorated with the emblem of the Polish Republic along with the sponsor’s coat of arms, whose name was Kazimierz Raczyński. Presently the building houses the Museum of the Wielkopolska Uprising 1918.
